Ada Ethel Addington, 85, of
Doran died May 16 at her home
following a lengthy illness.
She was born In Drill and was
a daughter of the late Joseph
Lorenzo Dowell Perkins and
Marie Honaker Perkins Goodwin.
She had made her home in the
Doran area most of her life and
was a member of the Richlands
Tabernacle.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Joseph (Jack) Addington;
two brothers; and five
sisters.
Survivors: daughters, Mrs.
Jack (Marie) Smith, Mrs. Harry
(Wilma Jean) Folk and Mrs. Burley
(Helen Juanita) Smith, all of
Doran, Mrs. Maze (Shirley Lucille)
Joyce of Clinton, TN; sons,
Joseph Edward Addington of
Grundy, Jack Dempsey Addington
Sr. of Richlands and Dallas
Eugene Addington of Jewell
Ridge; sisters, Thelma Asbury of
Rt. 1, Cedar Bluff, Sarah Huffman
of War, WV, Kathleen Madril
of Amity, OR; brothers, Whitt
Perkins and Frank Perkins, both
of Rt. 1, Cedar Bluff; 33 grandc
h i l d r e n ; 76 g r e a t -
grandchildren; and 21 greatgreat-
grandchildren.
The funeral was conducted
May 19 at 11 a.m. at the
Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in
Richlands with Rev. Ralph Horton
and Rev. Monte Elswick officiating.
Interment followed in Greenhills
Memory Gardens at Claypool
Hill.
