Alan was born in Roseburg, OR to Ernest and Evelyn (Hansen) Addington. He joined the Army after High School and was staioned at Fort Bragg, NC with the 82nd Airborne Division. After separating from the Army Alan attended Umpqua Community College in Winchester, OR. Alan decided to join the Navy and served aboard the USS Eisenhower. Alan is survived by his daughter Liana Dawn Addington Youker, mother Evelyn Addington, brothers David, lloyd, and Gary Addington and sister Janet Addington.
