Agatha (Agnes) Addonizio, age 84, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, September 7th, 2012, at Bethesda Memorial Hospice in Boynton Beach, Florida. Her sister Carmela, her daughter Anna Marie, her son, Peter, and his wife Linda, were all with her during her peaceful passing.

Agnes Addonizio was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 21st, 1927 to Alfonso and Anna DeRosa. She later met her husband, Pasquale Addonizio. Although he passed in 1971 after a long illness they enjoyed 25 glorious years of marriage. She remarried in 1973 to Seymour Kerschner and enjoyed many happy years of marriage with him until his passing in 2003.

Agnes was part of a large, happy Italian family. As the second daughter, she had a close relationship with her 4 brothers, Tony, Johnny, Frankie, and Peter, all of whom have departed. Additionally, she had 2 wonderful sisters, Theresa who is no longer with us and is survived by her sister Carmela.

Agnes worked continually during her life to help support her family. She retired from the Grand Union Company in 1995 and settled in Port St. Lucie before making Delray Beach, Florida her home.

Agnes was a dedicated family wife always putting the wants and needs of her loved ones above her own. She especially loved all her children Robert, and Michael, who have passed and Anna Marie, and Peter whom she is survived by. She also had a special place in her heart for Peter's wife Linda, her sister and husband, Barbara and John , their daughter Melissa, and her children; Brianna, Austin and Seth, whom she thought of as "Family".

She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Agnes has 5 grandchildren, Christine, Nick, Angie, Christian, and Rachel Aaron, 1 great grandchild Kara.

Agnes was a proud competent, smart, loving, caring angel with a heart as big as the sky. She was loved by many and ignored by none. Those who were lucky enough to have known her delighted in calling her their friend. All who had the pleasure of knowing her will miss Agnes deeply.
