"Funeral of Rabbi Adler - The funeral of Rabbi Liebman Adler will be held today at 1 o'clock. He died Friday night at his home, No. 41 Thirteenth Street, in his 80th year. Born and educated in Germany, he became prominently identified with the Hebrew schools in that country. Coming to this country in 1854, he accepted a call to Detroit, where he remained until 1861. At that time he received and accepted a call from the Congregation Kehilath Anshe Maariv, in this city, and remained with them as teacher and preacher until 1883, when he retired from his active labors with a pension."
