Abraham "Abe" Adrian, age 92 of Mt. Lake died on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

Visitation is 5:30-7:30 PM Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Sturm Funeral Home in Mt. Lake and resumes at church, one hour before the funeral.

The funeral will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at First Mennonite Church in Mt. Lake, Pastor Glen Letellier officiating.

The interment will follow the funeral at Mountain Lake City Cemetery.

Abraham "Abe" John Adrian was born on July 25, 1920 to Isaac and Marie (Goertzen) on their Mountain Lake Township farmstead. As a life long member of First Mennonite Church, Abe was baptized on May 28, 1939 and married there on April 4, 1945 to Lorraine (Radtke). He served the church several times as a Trustee. He enjoyed sharing the story of Jesus, particularly to his grandchildren. Abe loved horses but farming was his passion. He farmed for himself in the area until moving into town in the early 1970's. He continued to farm, for his son Verlo, for many years. In addition, he worked as a welder for Balzer's Manufacturing.

Abe Adrian is survived by his wife, Lorraine, sons, Richard and Verlo (Andrea), brother, Joe (Gladys), sister Maggie Becker, special family member, Ruby Jean (Richard A.) Scott & family, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister Martha Pankratz.
