Alice Agnus Penny, 91, of Burke Mountain, Keystone, W.Va., formerly of Shippenville RD, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, in St. Luke Hospital, Bluefield, W.Va., following a short illness. Born Aug. 18, 1910, in Alderson, Okla., she was the daughter of Alexander and Iola Hunn
Cameron. Mrs. Penny graduated from high school in Henryetta, Okla., and received a bachelor's degree at Park College in Oklahoma and a master's degree in home economics in 1948 from Oklahoma State University. She
taught school for a number of years in Oklahoma and did substitute teaching in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Penny was a member of the United Methodist Church in Shippenville, where she taught Sunday school for 25 years and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She also was a
member of the Clarion Women's Club and the Clarion University Women's Club. Mrs. Penny was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are a son and his wife, John Douglas "Doug" and Andrea Penny of Keystone, W.Va.; four grandchildren, John Alan Penny of Keystone, W.Va., Michael David Penny and his wife, Nicole, of Emlenton and Tricia
Penny and Katie Penny, both of Keystone, W.Va.; one great-grandson, Caleb Penny of Emlenton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Penny was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill
Cameron, Robert Cameron and David Cameron. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Knox.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Edinger, former retired pastor of the Shippenville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hill
