Mrs. Helen Gogley Ahern, 77, died Monday, April 24, 2000, at a local nursing home.
Mrs. Ahern was born in Altoona, Pa., to the late John Logan and Loretta Tracy Gogley. She had worked as a secretary at Fort Eustis, the Coast Guard Station, Cheatham Annex and Yorktown Naval Weapons Station.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John P. Ahern; a daughter, Michele Ahern Eye, and her husband, David, of Arnold, Md.; two grandchildren, Sean Michael Eye and Patrick Lupton Eye; and two great-grandchildren, Alexander Eye and Christopher Eye.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, at Bucktrout Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park.
