Alonzo W. Ailes, 68, R.R.1, died Tuesday in Blackford County Hospital, Hartford City. He was born in Gaston and attended Gaston schools.
Mr. Ailes worked for several years at Warner Gear Division and more recently was a supervisor in the Juvenile Detention Center. He belonged to Warner Gear Sympathy Club and was a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Indianapolis.
Surviving are his wife, Bulah McKibben Ailes; a son, Max A., Muncie; two daughters, Jackie Vance and Joan Foreman, both of Muncie; two sisters, Rebecca Jones, Muncie, and Betty Hoege, Poway, Calif., nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Meeks Mortuary, with Rev. Herbert Miller, pastor of East 16th Street Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in Elizabethtown Cemetery.
Calling hours are 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at the mortuary.
