Came to America in 1872 and located in Batavia. Then he went to Huntsville, Alabama for about a year, then going to New York City to learn the tailoring trade. After that he went to Buffalo for a year. In 1876 he came to Perry and engaged in the tailoring business.
September 8, 1880 he married Miss Catherine Bourg of Buffalo.
Survived by his wife; two children, Mrs. Lee H. Cotton of White Plains and Frank L. of New York City; two sisters.
