Agnes Frances Airey, 77, of Blue Island died Friday after being in poor health for the past few years. She resided with her sister at 12940 Greenwood Ave. Miss Airey was born in Worth Township in what is now Morgan Park and was the daughter of Robert H. Airey and Anna (nee) Long. She was the sister of Hazel Klein, Lois Wegener, Charles R. and the late Amande Willen and Florence Koenecke. Miss Airey was one of the older residents of the Blue Island area. Her family originally settled in this area in the 1870's coming from Virginia. She worked for 30 years for the Illinois Bell Telephone Co. and retired around 1930. Rested at the Funeral Home 13050 Greenwood Ave until funeral services at 2 p.m. on Monday Rev C. A. Chamberlin of the Grace Methodist Church officiated. Interment was made in Mt. greenwood Cemetery.
