Tech Sergeant Albert A. Aitkin Jr, July 3, 1931-August 6, 2011
Albert was born in NYC and was a resident of San Bernardino, Ca since 1972.
When Albert was 17 years of age he enlisted in the USN. After one term in the Navy he enlisted in the USAF where he proudly served his country in Germany, Korea and Vietnam. He studied at San Bernardino Community College. He retired as a Tech Sergeant from George AFB. He worked for the County of San Bernardino for many years. Al earned his GED while serving in the USAF.
Al was an active fan of Women's Professional Softball, popular in the mid 70s. He also was active in a bowling league. He is survived by his friends Shirley and Dave Face as well as all the ladies at Cut 'N' Curl Hair Salon in Grand Terrace.
Viewing and Rosary will be held at Montecito Memorial Park, Washington Ave- Colton on Monday-August 15th at 9AM followed by a Military Honor Guard celebration and burial at 10AM in the Veteran's Monument section of the park.
