Carol Ann Alain, 78, of Wildwood, FL, formally from Kalona and Wellman, passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Villages Hospice House. She was born Sept. 3, 1931 in Iowa City, the daughter of Homer and Anna Yoder. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leesburg, FL. Carol was active in the thrift store, Benevolence Ministries, a lifetime blood donor (over 50 gallons) and was dedicated to serving others.

Carol is survived by her children: Ann Geisler of Osteen, FL, June Croft of Rockledge, FL, Joe Alain of Denham Springs, LA, and Chris Alain of Sharpsburg, GA; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister Gladys Gingerich, Green Valley, AZ, one aunt, Dorotha Stutzman of Wellman and cousins and friends in the area.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Mary Jane Wolfe and a grandson, Ethan Alain.
