He was a retired shoemaker. Born in Salem, he lived in Beverly most of his slife.
He leaves two sisters, Mrs. Alice Adams od Beverly and Mrs. Alma Savageau of Lantana, Fla., nieces and nephews. His wife, the late Yvonne (Lavoie)Alain died in 1939.
