Aaron Emanuel Albee, son of Mr and Mrs. G. W Albee, was born at LaPorte City. Iowa, May 1, 1873. He moved with his parents to Goldfield in the year 1880. Here he grew to manhood.

He was united in marriage to Minna E. Jones on Sept. 8, 1897. They moved to a farm near Hardy, where they lived for 20 years. The family moved to Eagle Grove in 1920, where they have since made their home.

Mrs. Albee passed away on March 14, 1935.

Four children were born in this family, two sons, Wayne of the United States Army, and Kenneth of Eagle Grove; and two daughters, Mrs. Elva Winters and Mrs. Audrey Van Arsdale, of Hermiston, Ore. The living relatives are: the four children, 9 grandchildren and three brothers, Hiram of Estherville; Jewett of Lone Lake, Minn.; and Jim. One brother and one sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Albee passed away at the Convalescent Home in Eagle Grove on Thursday, Nov. 12, 1942, at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 11 days.

Funeral services were held at the Wilson chapel on Monday, Nov. 16. Interment was In the Goldfield Cemetery.

Aaron Albee Services Held Last Monday

Aaron E. Albee, former well-known resident of this community, passed away while a patient in the convalescent home at Eagle Grove, last Thursday, November 12. At the time of his demise he had attained the age of 69 years, six months and eleven days. Mr. Albee was another of those pioneer settlers in this community, coming here as a youth in the year 1880, when much of this section of the country was virgin soil and woodland.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, November 16, 1942, at the Wilson Funeral chapel in Eagle Grove, for Aaron E. Albee, of that city, who passed away at the convalescent home in Eagle Grove, on Thursday, November 12.

Services were conducted by the Rev. J. R. Tumbleson, pastor of the Methodist church in Eagle Grove, and burial was made in the Glenwood cemetery at Goldfield.
