Designer,print maker,weaver.Celebrated Bauhaus artist,the wife of artist Josef Albers.
After coming to the US in 1933 she established a weaving workshop at Black Mountain College in North Carolina. In 1950 she and her husband settled in Connecticut,where she designed textiles for industrial production and continued to create unusual hand-made textile works.
