SERVICES SET FOR ALBURY
Memorial services for Pvt. Eric W. Albury, Jr., 23, who was killed in action at Casole di Elsa, July 2, will be held at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Miami Beach Methodist church.

Albury, who had been cited in a United Press dispatch in May, 1943, as one of two Floridians to route a band of German guerillas on the Tunisian front, had been overseas since December, 1942. A former student at Miami Beach High school, Albury was employed at the Miami Beach Municipal Water Co., when he enlisted in the Army, March 12, 1941. He trained at Fort Benning and then Fort Knox, and served with the First American division.

Injured while motorcycling to Rome, Albury received the Purple Heart. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eric W. Albury, of 425 Alton road, received the award in August. Albury, sr., now chief engineer at ATS also served overseas during World War I.

Besides his parents, Albury leaves his widow, the former Shirley Getty, who lives with her parents in Coral Gables, and two sisters, Mary Lou and Patricia, of Miami Beach.

WAR HERO RITES PLANNED MONDAY
Graveside services for Pvt. Eric Wilson Albury, jr., of Miami Beach, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Miami City cemetery. Dade county guard of honor will conduct military rites.

Pvt. Albury was killed July 2, 1944 in Italy. He was a tank driver in the First Armored division of the army and participated in the African invasion, saw action in Sicily and participated in Anzio beach fighting.

He attended Miami Beach schools and was an employee of the city of Miami Beach before entering the service in 1941. He was a member of Stanton Memorial Baptist church.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eric W. Albury; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Lou Lee and Miss Patricia Albury, and his grandmother, Mrs. Mary E. Albury.
