Alfred P. Alcazar
1924-2016

Master Chief Alfred P. Alcazar, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Thursday January 7th after a 12 year struggle with Alzheimer's. He went peacefully surrounded by his family.

Al was born in the Philippines on April 16, 1924 and lived in Maryland, Washington, London, Paris and Pensacola. A veteran of WWII, Al served in the Navy for 30 years after which time he worked for NARDAC at Pensacola NAS. In addition to numerous Navy schools, Al graduated from the Cordon Bleu in Paris, France - making him not only a Master Chief but also a Master Chef. He was the Valedictorian for the graduating class at Pensacola Junior College in December of 1980. Al was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church where he volunteered at the Holy Name Society providing meals for the elderly, infirm and poor. Al loved to cook, fish, garden and spend time with his many friends. He passionately loved his family - his wife Esmee most of all.
