Morris "Mushie" Alchesay, 58, died July 2, 2004 in Whiteriver.
He was born in Carrizzo and attended school in Whiteriver and worked for the sawmill afterwards. For a short time Morris was employed with the BIA Forestry Department. He spent his free time exploring the mountains and fishing, especially the upper fish hatchery area. Morris had a good sense of humor, always teasing his sister-in-laws. He was a great uncle, brother, and "grandpa" to many. He will be missed by many friends and relatives.
Morris is survived by his two sisters, Annie Tessay of Rainbow City, Elmira Alchesay of Whiteriver; three brothers, Lenzo (Florence) Alchesay, Sr. of Whiteriver, Leonard (Caroline) Alchesay of Whiteriver, Norbert Alchesay of Cibecue; many nieces and nephews; grandchildren; and great grandchildren; and extended family.
Funeral services for Morris will be held at 1 p.m. Monday July 12, at the Open Bible Lutheran Church. A two-day Wake will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday July 10, in Rainbow City.
Interment will be in the Whiteriver Cemetery.
