Auby Aldrich "Pops", 88, passed away Monday, June 5th, 2017.
Auby was born and raised in Bessemer, Al. He was the son of Samuel Alexander (1900-1954) and Agnes Dulaney Aldrich (1904-1993).
He graduated from McAdory High School.
He served in the Navy.
Auby was retired from US Steel after 42 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Edna Turner Aldrich; his brothers, Elliott Earl 1927-2004, Lewis, and John Edward Aldrich.
He is survived by his sons, Darryl (Janice), and Jeff Aldrich (Jana); brothers, Clarence, Sam, (Barbara), and Marvin Aldrich (Jane); grandchildren, David Aldrich (Gina), Ann Doucette (Klaine), Nathan Aldrich (Darna), and Brittney Hackworth (David); two step children, Brandon Brown (Jennifer) and Kasey Brown; thirteen great-grandchildren, Braydie Aldrich, Karter Doucette, Madelyn and Hannah Aldrich, Caleb Gober, Schyler, April, David, Val, Bari, Lucy, Von, and Christian Brown. Auby was a very kind man who deeply loved and lived for his family. "MyMy"
The funeral service will be held on Saturday June 10, 2017 at 11:00 at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home with burial following at Highland Memorial Gardens.
