He was a loving husband, father, granddaddy and coach. Clarence loved his Lord, his family, his garden and he touched many hearts with his kindness and quiet dignity.
He was born and raised in Bessemer, Alabama and was a Deacon for many years at Second Baptist Church. He was also a member Canaan Baptist Church.
He worked at R.L. Ziegler for 31 years and at Koppers for 10 years before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Delores Peak Aldrich; brothers, Elliott, Auby, Lewis and John Edward.
He is survived by his children, Paula Jones and Russell (Debbie) Aldrich; brothers, Sam (Barbara) Aldrich, Marvin (Jane) Aldrich; grandchildren, Jason Jones, Angela (Kevin) Brown, Lindsay Aldrich and Jordan (Bradley) Jones; great grandchildren, Cain Jones and Harmon Brown.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM at McCalla Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Gardens.
