Delores Peak Aldrich, age 81, of Bessemer, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 11, 2014.
She was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church and now a member of Canaan Baptist Church.
She was retired from the Bessemer Board of Education where she served many years as a teacher’s aide and crossing guard at Jonesboro Elementary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Major and Nollie Peak and her brother, Paul Peak.
Mrs. Aldrich is survived by her husband, Clarence “Mims” Aldrich; daughter, Paula Jones; son, Russell Aldrich (Debbie); grandchildren, Jason Jones and Angela Brown (Kevin) and Lindsay and Jordan Aldrich; great-grandchildren, Cain Jones and Harmon Brown.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 2:00 pm at McCalla Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
