Virginia was 1st married to Thomas Palmer in Clay County, IL in 1879 according to the IL marriage records.

Virginia's parents were John B Flesher and Margaret (Banks) Flesher. Margaret died in May of 1870 shortly before or right after moving to Richland Co, IL.

John B Flesher then married in June 1870 to Mrs. Elizabeth (Montgomery) Oster/Oaster widow of Benjamin Oaster, who brought 2 children into the marriage Amelia Oaster and Margaret Oaster.
