Betty Jean Aleshire, 65, of Elkton, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at her home.

She was born in Waynesboro on September 10, 1950, and was a daughter of the late Johnny and Dorothy (Frazier) Garrison.

Betty was a member of the Grottoes Church of God. She worked at Walmart.

She was united in marriage to Phillip Aleshire, who preceded her in death in 2000.

She is survived by two daughters, Kimberley Huffman and husband Steven, of Elkton and Angel Wisman and husband John Ross, of Elkins, WV; two sisters, Lois Ann Wells and husband Buck, of South Hill and Frances McClain and husband Kenneth, of Suffolk. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Sharmen Caldwell and husband Richard, John Morris and fiancée Kari Landers, Joshua Morris and fiancée Jessica Hicks, Donovan Johnson, Harley Johnson, Chelsea Arnott, Aaron Miller, Caitlynn Arnott, Addison Roach, and Sarah Ross; four great granddaughters, Trinity, Joslynn, Emily, and Olivia; a special care giver, Mandi Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Hall, Jr., a brother, Ashby Garrison; and a great granddaughter, Destiney Eutsler.

A funeral service will be held at the Grottoes Church of God at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 with Pastor Glenn Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Service in Grottoes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grottoes Church of God, 103 3rd Street, Grottoes, VA 24441.
