I did not know or ever meet Kim. Pretty much all I know about her is on this page and that she was the daughter of actor James H. Alexander. James had only three or four motion pictures on his resume before died in 1961 at the age of 46.

Kim was born in Los Angeles CA on Valentine's Day, 1954 (the same year I was born) and was a student at Fairfax High in Los Angeles. She died on August 25, 1971, shot with a handgun. She was on the floor sobbing after an argument with her boyfriend when he suddenly ran into the room and shot her in the back, then ran out, immortalizing Kim for eternity. Forever 17.

I first saw her photograph and it touched me in ways I cannot begin to describe. I started the unexplainable quest to find out who she was and what happened to her. In the process, I felt sad not only how she died, but that she didn't at least get her own gravestone (tap on picture of gravestone inscription to view full plaque) instead of being placed on her father's stone as an afterthought. By placing her here, at least she has her own memorial.

Finding out about her death was easy. I wish I knew more about her life.

Dream sweet, golden girl.
