She was born April 7, 1875, at Lovington, Ill., the daughter of Samuel and Mary Ellen Alexander. On January 29, 1908, at Springfield, Ill., she was married to Mr. Acom and they lived for five years in that state. They then lived in Stovall, Texas for fourteen years and have been in Wardell since 1926. She was a member of the Christian church.
She leaves her husband; her daughter and son-in-law, Sara Ruth and Glenn Petersen; and two grandchildren, Glenn Owens and Zilella Sue Petersen, all of Wardell.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Wardell high school gymnasium with the Rev. Floyd Brower and Rev. James M. Blanton officiating. Burial was in Wardell Memorial Cemetery with Jimmy Osburn Funeral Home service.
