Mrs. Alexander, a native of South Carolina, was a member of Colonial Avenue United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Louis E. Alexander; a stepdaughter, Mary Elizabeth Morton of Virginia Beach; three sons, Charles L. Dixon of Cary, N.C., Carlton E. Dixon of Union Hall, Va., and Donald L. Dixon of Norfolk; a stepson, Albert K. Alexander of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grand-children.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Francis E. Collins. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Cox Funeral Home
