Services for Lily Allen will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 22, 2007 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Reverend David Boothe and Reverend Jim Hilleke officiating. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Allen, 79, of Alexandria passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2007 in her residence.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Alexandria and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mumford and Lola Walker Hinds and a son-in-law, Jim Poirrier.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 61 years, Ray R. Allen of Alexandria; daughters, Gale Henry and husband Charles of Monroe, Debbie Poirrier of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Brent Devenney and wife, Lori, Chad Devenney and wife, Amy, Mason Wiley and wife, Debbie and Melissa Wiley Bergeron and husband, Tommy; great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Carter, Landon and Laurel Devenney, Sara and Samantha Bergeron.

Friends may call Friday at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
