MN 7th Infantry. On 5/1/1863 he was attached to the MN 3rd Light Artillery. He was Mustered Out on 7/12/1865.
He applied for a pension on 1/13/1900 from the state of MN # 1,242,343
His Widow (Frances M Allen) applied for a pension on 9/30/1901 from the state of MN
application # 749,103
After the War he lived in St Paul, Ransey County, MN
