Adella was 98 years old when she passed. She lived a long and full life marked by beauty and grace. She was the daughter of Hugo and Amelia Halle.
Adella left Wisconsin in the late 1940’s to join her brother and sisters who had moved to California, where she worked for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft (Boeing), in a clerical position, for close to 30 years and retired in 1974. Bob and Adella enjoyed their retirement and traveled throughout the country. One of her favorite places to visit was the Island of Maui where she enjoyed numerous trips with her nieces and their families. She had a deep love for her family, particularly the young children. Throughout her life she enjoyed collecting beautiful objects, particularly dolls and teacups. Adella was famous, among her family, for her green thumb and always had a wonderful garden filled with flowers. Spending time with the babies always brought her great joy.
Adella was predeceased by her beloved husband of 35 years, Robert Allen and her stepsons Don and Terry Allen.
Adella had 10 siblings and is survived by one sister, Martha Ebbe, of Santa Monica, California. Adella never had children of her own but thought of her nieces, Karen Torbron and Patricia Turner as her daughters. Their children were like grandchildren to Adella. Her “grandchildren” are Scott Turner, Lisa Turner, Hollis Torbron, Matt Turner, Wesley Noah and Lindsey Noah. Her three “great-grandchildren” are Emma Turner, Peter Turner and William Noah.
Adella is also survived by the following nieces and nephews: Bill Ebbe, Oscar Halle, Jr., Audrey Fisher, Marguerite Cunningham, Mary Ann Gerber, Joan Kurasz, Glenn Halle, Cleo Peters, Kathy Hansen, Jackie Crone, Karen Torbron and Patricia Turner.
