He was raised and educated in White Plains and graduated from White Plains High School and from Pace University in Pleasantville, NY. He served in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Allen was married September 18, 1976 in Port Chester, NY to Lois Scattaretico. He was a System Analyst for the Cadbury Schweppes Company in Rye Brook, NY. Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Lois Allen of Port Chester, NY; son, C. Matthew Allen of Highland, NY and daughter, Christine Lamonica and husband Gary of Wappingers Falls, NY; grandchildren, Samantha, Sarah, Zachary and Aidan Lamonica; several nieces and nephews and his beloved companions Molly, Lucy, Lilly and Puff.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday February 27, 2008 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc., 40 Leicester Street, Port Chester, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Corpus Christi Church, 136 South Regent S. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY. Memorial donations in memory of Mr. Allen may be to the Blythdale Children's Hospital, 95 Bradhurst Ave., Valhalla, NY 10595 or the American Diabetes Association.
