Age 64, of Lewes, DE, passed away Monday, July 23, 2007, at Harbor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lewes.
Mr. Allen was born on May 1, 1943 in Wilmington, DE. Mr. Allen had been employed as a sheet metal worker in the Sheet Metal Fabricating business. Mr. Allen served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of American Legion Post 28, Oak Orchard, DE. He loved fishing and greatly enjoyed being with his fiancee and her family.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Allen is survived by 4 sons; 1 daughter; 3 grandchildren; 2 sisters; and a brother, all of Delaware. He is also survived by his fiancee, Jean M. Techentine of Lewes, DE, her children and grandchildren: Diana Vansant and her husband Tony, and their children Shane and Ashley Vansant all of Townsend, DE; Travis Techentine and his wife Jennifer, and their children Leif, Wyatt and Trey all of Newark, DE; and Damien Techentine and his daughter Tessa, both of Lewes, DE.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE on Tuesday, July 31, at 2 pm.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Legion Post #28, 31768 Legion Road, Millsboro, DE 19966.
