Jane Allen, a long time resident of Yonkers died on October 12, 2001. She was 86 years old. Jane was born on July 1, 1915 in the Bronx to John and Sara Morrison Croake. Mrs. Allen was employed as a teacher with the Yonkers Public Schools until her retirement in 1981. Jane was a member of the Yonkers Federation of Teachers. She married James P. Allen on January 16, 1943 at St. Margaret's in Riverdale. Beloved wife of James P. Allen. Loving mother of James (Marigay), John (Victoria), Thomas (Catherine) Allen, Peggy (Joseph) Zuccarelli, Kathleen (Richard) Bennett and Mary Beth Allen. Jane was predeceased by a brother and two sisters Thomas Croake, Mary Curran and Sara Croake. Adored grandmother of 16. Visitation Saturday 7-9 pm and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass Monday 10 am St. John the Baptist Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The family of Jane Allen request that donations be made in her memory to Maryknoll Sisters, P.O.
