Caroline "Carrie" Byrd Day Roberts Allen was the wife of James A. Allen, Jr. Carrie was the daughter of Josephine Whitson Day and William Byrd Day, Jr., and mother of Melba Josephine Day Roberts. During her marriage to William Roberts a son, Earl Roberts, was born but died in infancy. Carrie and James A. Allen had no children. Carrie and James were married on Christmas Day in 1917 at Birmingham, AL by J.A. Bryan.
