Marion Ruth (Allen) Hickey, 85, of Maynard, died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Emerson Hospital in Concord. She was the beloved wife of the late Wallace L. Hickey who died in 1973.

Born in Clinton, she was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Ruth (Monyon) Allen and grew up on her family's farm in Berlin. Mrs. Hickey graduated from Hudson High School and was formerly employed in several area retail stores before retiring.

She enjoyed spending time in her flower and vegetable garden. As a teenager she joined the local chapter of the National Grange and through the years was an active member in Stow, Berlin and Northborough, serving as a former chapter president.

Mrs. Hickey was a former resident of Gleasondale/Stow, lived for many years in Acton, and for the past 20 years resided in Maynard.

She was the sister of the late John, Mortimer and Roy Allen.

Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Concord Road, Acton Center.
