Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 7, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel, with the Reverend Carolyn H. Burrus officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Allen was born September 18, 1919, in Forsyth County to Stonewall Jackson Forrest and Bessie Anna Bean. She lived in Greensboro for 65 years and was a member of Glenwood Friends Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Claude Allen; a son, Jerry Rex Allen; brothers, Herbert W. Forrest, Arthur J. Forrest, and John F. Forrest; a sister, Edith Forrest Allen.
Mrs. Allen in survived by her daughter, Jeannie Allen of Chapel Hill; a sister, Opal F. Allen, of Charlotte; a brother, Stonewall J. Forrest, Jr. (Betty), of Wilmington; grandchildren, Christopher Allen and Patrick Allen, both of Gastonia and 11 great- grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
