Bertha May (nee Allen) Alcott, of Tabernacle, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at her home. She was 89.

Born in Mount Holly; the daughter of the late Francis and Gussie (nee Cutts) Allen. She was married for 53 years to the late Franklin Alcott, Sr., who predeceased her on July 2, 2016

She is survived by her children, Rusty Simpkins, Debbie (Leon) Winstanley, Franklin Jr., and Gerald Alcott; grandchildren, Chad, Kayla, Terri, Lisa, Richard, Michael, and Jerry; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is predeceased by her children, Donald F. Simpkins and Sherri Lynn Simpkins; and a sister Doris Ammon.

Relatives and friends may visit the family on Thursday, December 22 from 7-9 PM and Friday, December 23 from 10-11 AM at Tabernacle Church of Christ, 160 Carranza Road, Tabernacle. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM at the church. Interment will take place at the Junior Mechanics Cemetery, Tabernacle.
