Darlington- Mrs. Betty Akerson, 84, died Friday night (Dec. 11, 1970) in a hospital after an illness.
The former Betty Allen was born in Munterville, Ia., and had lived in Darlington for 18 years. Her husband, Ernest, died in 1969.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Irvin Goodman, Darlington; a son, Allen, Waterloo, Iowa, a brother, Arthur, Indianapolis; four sisters, Mrs. Mae Wassgrem, Des Moines; and Mrs. Esther Royer, Mrs. Emma Juline, and Mrs. Veula Burgason, Ottumwa, Ia.; six grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1:30 pm Monday in the Sharer Funral Home, where friends may call after 2 pm today.
