Amos H. Alley, a native of this town, died at his home in Damariscotta, Me. last Friday at the age of 74 years. He was born in this town and lived here for many years, but later in life, moved to Maine where he has resided for a number of years. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lavinia M. Alley, a son, John D. [sic John B.] Alley of Stoneham and a daughter, Mrs. Harris Roundy of Marblehead.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Wyman Memorial Church of St. Andrew with Rev. Roy Grindy, rector, officiating. There were many floral tributes from friends and relatives. Burial was in the family lot at Waterside Cemetery.
