Harry Allman, 83, of 1717 Martin Villa Road, Elberton, Ga., died July 7, 2008.
A native of Horner, he was a son of the late John and Oleta Dean Allman.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Masons, Shriners and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Buckhannon, W.Va. He was a ranger at Arrowhead Pointe and a member of Eliam United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Winifred Stalnaker Allman; three sons, William Glenn (Vicky) Allman of Aiken, S.C., Roger (Linda) Allman of Horner, and Darrell (Beth) Allman of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister, Mildred (Bill) Peery of Niles, Ohio; six grandchildren, Shelly Bumgarner, Niki Brauer, Jared Allman, Jessica Allman, Daniel Allman and Sara Comstock; and five great-grandchildren, Miranda and Schuyler Bumgarner, Damien and Spencer Frazier and Keiran Comstock.
Funeral services were held Friday at Berry Funeral Home, Elberton, Ga., with the Rev. Wesley Privett officiating. Entombment was in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Elberton.
