Bertha Mode Allmand passed away peacefully early Monday morning, March 4, 2013 at her home in Lakeside, Arizona. She was born May 12, 1913 to James Walter Mode and Emma Elizabeth Mott.
She spent most of her life as a homemaker and taking care of her grandchildren. She also spent several years working at Nick's Variety store in Show Low.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda and (Chuck) Haynie; her grandchildren, Michael Gardner, Wade Gardner and Julie Tomlinson; and her great grandchildren, Kamery Gardner, Jace Gardner, Brett Gardner, Michael Tomlinson and Trayce Tomlinson. She is also survived by her sister Polly Rowe of Camp Verde and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Allmand, her parents and six siblings.
A Graveside service will take place Friday March 8, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lakeside Cemetery.
