Alfred Alworth, age 87 years, died on Saturday in the residence of his son, Lawrence Hillis, at Toronto.
He was one of the older residents of St. Thomas.
As a young man he entered the employ of Thomas Arkell in the drygoods business.
Soon after his marriage he moved to Kingsville where, for a number of years he had a vineyard.
He then moved west with his family, remaining there until he came to Toronto to reside with his son.
Interment in the family plot in St. Thomas Cemetery.
