Before retirement, he was office manager for Alfa Romeo in Engelwood, NJ for eight years. He was of the Jewish faith. He was a volunteer reader for Books on Tape for the Blind and worked backstage at the Riverside Theatre. He formerly served on the board of the Mental Health Association and was a member of the Vero Beach Choral Society.
Survivors include wife of 65 years, Rhoda Alper; daughter, Fae Kopacka; and son, Alan Alper.
Services: Graveside services were Jan. 15 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce. Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
