Grace was actually older than obituary indicates.
She was born in 1881. The 1892 NYS Census has her at 10 years old. Based on ages of her siblings and other census's generally refer to her being born approximately in 1882. Also the SSDI gives her birthdate in 1881.
Throughout her life, Grace had lived in Hannibal, Oswego, Fulton, Cato, Tully and Manhattan (NY City) and Queens.
On March 4, 1911 she married Clarence Edwin Althouse, formerly of Hannibal, at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Manhattan, NY. They had one child, Burr, named after Clarence's father. They had lived at 110-35 108th Street, Hollis, Queens.
- New York Post, Wed. March 10, 1937 became separated per judgment at Brooklyn Supreme Court due to Clarence behavior as an alcoholic. - In September 1946, Grace was granted a divorce decree from the Oswego county Supreme Court by Justice Abram Zoller. She resided in Syracuse for about 28 years until her death.
