Nannie Lee "Nan" Ambrose

Nannie Lee Anderson Ambrose Guyton was born September 17, 1935, in Attala County, MS; to the late Henry and Sallie Anderson.

At an early age, she joined St. James Church of the First Born.

She attended New Banyon School. She was very athletic. Basketball was her favorite sport.

Nan was a quiet and loveable person. She was always ready to help anyone. She was an excellent cook, that often prepared delicious meals for her family and friends. She departed this life on Tuesday, October 18, 2005, at Allen's Hospital in Waterloo, IA.

Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving husband, Frank Guyton, Jr.; four daughters, Darlene (Mark) Bailey, Patrice (Travis) Redd, and Collette Guyton all of Waterloo, IA; and Katiti Ambrose of Kansas City, KS; a special daughter, Ruby (James) Collins of Waterloo, IA; two sons, Rodney (Patricia) Anderson and Antone (Dorothy) Ambrose of Waterloo, IA; three brothers, Leslie Anderson of Collins, MS; and Nimroy (Mary) Anderson of Davenport, IA; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Winters Funeral Home handled arrangements.
