Alfred Amor Dead
Alfred Amor, one of the most highly respected and honorable citizens of this county, died Saturday evening at 7 o'clock at his home three miles south of Lexington. He had been in failing health for nearly a year. His death was due to old age and general debility.
Mr. Amor was born in England 83 years ago. About forty years ago he came to Lafayette county and has resided here ever since. He is survived by his wife and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. James Sheets Macey of Arlington, Wash.; Mrs. William Smith fo Thomas, Okla.; Mrs. Henry Shier of Columbus, Mo.; Alfred Amor, Jr., of Springfield, Ohio; William Amor of Sheridan, Wyo.; Thomas and Irvin Amor of Lexington.
The funeral was held from the home Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. Warren P. Clark conducted the services.
