Mrs. Gloria Deal Anastasia, 84, of Van Dyke Avenue, Amsterdam, NY died suddenly on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at home. Born in Amsterdam on December 10, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Polly Vitus Deal.A lifelong area resident, Gloria attended local schools. She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church and was a homemaker. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.On May 11, 1952 she was united in marriage Vito Anastasia. That union lasted 46 years until his passing on March 13, 1998. She is survived by her son, Richard Anastasia; two grandsons, Cameron and Hunter Anastasia; one brother, Louis Deal and his wife Kathy of Fort Johnson; two nieces, Amy Deal and her fiancÃÆ'© Brad Schaffer and Alison Shang and her husband Michael; and one grandnephew, Lucas; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fort Johnson.
