David was born Feb. 23, 1949, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls, to Harold F. and Joane I. (Smith) Anders.
He grew up in the Town of Ruby on the family farm. He attended Elmdale (Ruby) Elementary School and graduated from Lake Holcombe High School in May 1967.
David spent seven years in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his daughters – June Anders, Eau Claire, and Regina Anders, Weyerhaeuser; son – Gary Anders; many grandchildren; sisters – Susan (David) Staudacher, Holcombe, and Linda (Danny) DeLeon, Phoenix, Ariz.; Allan (Donna), Cornell, Steve (Jana), Cadott, and Jeff (Emma), Holcombe; nieces and nephews; and special friend June Aussem, Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son – Crisofer; grandparents – Ac and Diana Smith, and Edward and Clara Anders; and four sisters – Kathleen, Jean, Mary and Cheryl.
Services will be held Friday, April 21, at 11:30 a.m., with visitation from 9:30-11:30 a.m., at Max A. Sass & Sons Mission Hills Chapel in Franklin. Burial will be in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Park.
