Donald L. "Andy" Anderson

Age 84, peacefully passed away December 18, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM.
He was born in Du Bois, PA.

Andy served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955.

He moved to Albuquerque in 1956 where he raised his family and started his career working for the US Postal Service until he retired in 1985.

Andy enjoyed hunting, fishing and building things. It wasn’t so much about the activity, but more so to be with family and friends. He loved spending time at the family Ranch in Manzano where he tended to his pet horses. We fashioned him as our Urban Cowboy.

He was preceded in death by his father, George W. and mother, Ruth;
brothers, Wes and Ernie Anderson and son, Ernest Otero.

Andy leaves behind his loving wife, Mela; brothers, Bill Anderson of Dallas, TX; Ernie (Marlene) Anderson of Anapolis, MD; daughter, Viola Otero-Bennett of Albuquerque, Leve Otero, Charlie (Donna) Otero of Albuquerque. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Aaron, Erica and Sarah Bennett, Leanor (Ferni) Sauri, Jesse (Emily) and Carlos Otero and Katelyn Otero; great-grandchildren, Gentry, Samantha and Leyla Otero; Caridad, Reynaldo and Ernest Sauri and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was truly respected and loved by his family and friends.
