Albert Galatin Anderson, born in 1824 in Graves County, Kentucky was the sixth child of John Anderson (1791-1842) and Nancy Rebeccah Davenport (1795-1864). Based on what we know about the dates for John and Nancy's eleven children, it is clear from a letter John wrote on 16 Jun 1838, that Albert had died by that date and was buried in the Anderson Family Cemetery. "My family cemetery is situated about 300 yards north of the courthouse on a narrow wedge of land on the right side and overlooking the western road to Paducah. Here now I have six children buried and have only five left. . . . And here I intend to be buried myself." Virginia Dunn Kraut, The Dunn-Anderson Story (Ripon, Wisconsin Schenke Printing, 1980), p. 86. Albert's name is also included on the memorial for five sons and a daughter of John Anderson and Nancy Rebecca Davenport in the Anderson Family Cemetery:
VINCENT W.
JOHN DAVENPORT
ERVIN
ROLLIN L.
ALBERT G.
MARGARET T.
5 SONS AND DAUGHTER
