He was a lance corporal in the Marines and served in the Korean War as a sharpshooter. He liked classical music and sports, loved to play chess, and was a skilled carpenter.
Conrad was predeceased by his parents, brothers Alfred and Elbert Anderson, and sisters Matilda Fugere and Phyllis Scales. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Clydella; children Carl A. Anderson, Dale Anderson and Lynn Anderson; grandchildren Jonathan and David Anderson, Joseph Sawyer and wife Stephanie, Crystal Burlingame and husband Andrew, and Nicole Kraus; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Feb. 9 from 6 to 7 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. Dr. Jerry Mick will officiate, assisted by Rev.
